Our client, a well-established dairy manufacturer with over 40 years of success, is experiencing rapid growth and adding a new QA Manager position to support their expanding operations. This role offers the opportunity to shape quality standards, lead continuous improvement, and make a direct impact on plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all quality assurance functions, including QA, QC, and sanitation activities.

  • Implement and maintain QA policies, procedures, and compliance standards to meet company, customer, and regulatory expectations.

  • Interpret test results and effectively communicate findings to customers and internal teams.

  • Train, mentor, and develop Quality Control Technicians to ensure operational excellence.

  • Conduct and participate in customer audits, annual SQF audits, and pre-shipment reviews.

  • Manage GMP, HACCP, and SSOP programs, including validations, CCP monitoring, and corrective actions.

  • Direct inspection and sampling activities, including temperature checks, weight verification, and specification inspections.

  • Identify and resolve quality-related issues, analyze data, and develop alternative solutions collaboratively.

  • Partner with the Plant Manager and Sanitation Manager to maintain proper housekeeping, sanitation, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within the dairy or food manufacturing industry.

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, SSOP, SOP, GMPs, USDA, and FDA regulations.

  • Experience managing audits, quality processes, and sanitation programs.

  • Proficiency in QA systems, process control, and data analysis; DSI inventory knowledge is a plus.

  • Familiarity with organic, Kosher, and Halal standards preferred.

  • PCQI certification and a food science background are highly desirable.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with a hands-on, mentoring approach.
