Hydraulic Engineer

We're seeking a creative and detail-oriented Hydraulic Engineer to join our team. If you have a background in hydraulic cylinder design and sales, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, we want to hear from you.

Hydraulic Engineer Responsibilities:

Structural & Hydraulic Engineering:

• Efficiently design equipment structures and hydraulic circuits.
• Generate CNC machine prints and conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Create weldments for machine frames or components for further machining.
• Select appropriate hydraulic components based on application, availability, and cost.
• Collaborate with the shop for design implementation.

Electro Mechanical Design:

• Design motion equipment using various components.
• Collaborate with vendors and electrical teams.
• Create accurate models and bills of material (BOM).

GD&T and Design Review:

• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) on prints.
• Lead design review meetings and guide improvements.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and mentor less experienced engineers.

Communication:

• Work with shop leads during project start-ups.
• Keep management informed of project progress.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors
• Successfully interface with customers and generate sales and promote service agreements and other company products

Hydraulic Engineer Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, at least 2 years of cylinder design experience. At least 2 years of sales experience preferred.
• Solidworks proficiency.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills.

Hydraulic Engineer Work Environment: Professional office environment with occasional time in the plant. Exposure to various plant conditions. Role may require occasional travel, usually not more than 5 days per month.

Physical Demands: May involve sitting, standing, walking, and exposure to manufacturing conditions.
