My client is looking for a top-notch Assistant Project Manager! 

This is a 35-year-old successful Multi-Family Development Company with expansion underway into Southern California. The Assistant Project Manager would assist in the construction of multi-family rental housing projects in Southern California. This includes project administration, coordinating architects, engineers, managing General Contractors and specialty vendors, while coordinating the design and construction through completion

Assistant Project Manager:

  • Assist PM in coordinating design and construction activities for multi-family housing.
  • Coordinate third-party consultants including architects, engineers, general contractors, and other professionals in pre-construction, construction, and lease-up phases.
  • Assist in preparing and managing construction budgets and monthly work in progress reports, process contract invoices, draw requests, and update schedules. 
  • Prepare, coordinate, and administer design and construction contracts and other technical agreements.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with municipalities, planning and community development, building departments, and various other agencies including state and federal governments. 
  • Ability to travel weekly to job site locations within 75 miles of Palm Springs office.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree or Certificate in one of the following: Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Urban Planning.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in multi-family housing construction project management.
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, budgets and project schedules.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading design and construction professionals and  coordinating activities.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance competing priorities to meet construction deadlines for multiple ongoing projects.
