Job Title: Associate Attorney – Asbestos Litigation

About the Firm: A nationally recognized litigation firm with a strong presence in toxic tort and asbestos defense is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join its New York office. This is an excellent opportunity to handle complex asbestos litigation matters in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of asbestos litigation, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
Appear in court for conferences, arguments, and hearings.
Draft dispositive motions, pre-trial briefs, and discovery responses.
Evaluate and summarize medical records, deposition testimony, and other case materials.
Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients on litigation strategy.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice in New York (New Jersey admission is a plus).
Minimum 2-4 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for asbestos, toxic tort, or product liability backgrounds.
Demonstrated experience conducting depositions and appearing in court.
Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a heavy caseload independently.
