Job Description

The CFO will oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including forecasting, budgeting, reporting, capital management, and strategic planning. This individual will serve as a key business partner to the CEO and leadership team—helping optimize performance, ensure financial health, and support smart, scalable growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting

  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and capital structures to support ongoing construction and development operations

  • Oversee accounting, job costing, payables, receivables, payroll, and month-end close processes

  • Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Collaborate closely with construction, purchasing, and operations to maintain accurate job costs and margin performance

  • Prepare financials for investors, lenders, auditors, and regulatory bodies


Qualifications

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
✅ 7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
Experience in homebuilding, real estate development, or construction required
✅ Strong understanding of job cost accounting, WIP reporting, project controls, and revenue recognition
✅ Proven track record managing budgets, debt, capital, and financial planning
✅ Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across executive, field, and external stakeholders
✅ Ability to think strategically while also being hands-on in day-to-day financial operations
