Location: Santa Fe, NM
Salary: $75,000 – $120,000 DOE
Employment Type: Full-Time

A well-established boutique accounting firm in Santa Fe, NM (20-25 employees) is seeking a Tax Senior and Tax Manager to join their growing team. This firm fosters a family-oriented, collaborative environment with exceptional training and mentorship to support career development.

Position Overview

The Tax Senior and Tax Manager will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, with opportunities to grow into client-facing roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in tax compliance and a desire to work in a close-knit, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities
• Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency in tax preparation
• Stay up-to-date on federal and state tax laws
• Develop and maintain client relationships (client-facing opportunities available over time)

Qualifications

• Experience: Prior tax preparation and review experience required
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Certifications: CPA or EA preferred but not required
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and ability to work in a team environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $75,000 – $120,000 DOE
• Paid Time Off: 3 weeks PTO + 10 paid holidays
• Health Insurance: 100% employer-paid
• Work Schedule:
  • Annual Minimum Hours: 2,350
  • Busy Season: 50-55 hours per week (Feb 15 – April 15 & Aug – Oct 15)
