Tax Senior Manager - Private Client

Location: Baton Rouge, LA (New Orleans, Lafayette, Shreveport and Hattiesburg also considered)

Overview

A large national accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for its private client services practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (hybrid). You will oversee tax planning and compliance for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, with emphasis on financial services clients such as hedge fund and private equity professionals, and help grow the practice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team, foster strong client relationships and help build a sustainable practice in partnership with partners
• Oversee tax planning and compliance for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families
• Apply knowledge of hedge fund K-1 treatment and working knowledge of trusts, estates, gifts and charitable entities
• Deliver tax planning, consulting and compliance solutions directly to clients
• Perform primary review of complex tax returns
• Train, supervise and review the work of staff
• Solicit new client relationships and take part in client seminars and networking
• Occasional local travel to client locations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent field
• 8+ years of tax compliance experience specializing in individual, fiduciary, estate and gift taxation
• Recent public accounting experience
• CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent required
• Master's in taxation preferred
• GoSystem or CCH Axcess experience preferred
