Structural Steel Estimator
Overview:
We are seeking a Structural Steel Estimator to prepare accurate bids and material take-offs for fabrication and erection projects. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of structural steel drawings, materials, and construction practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed steel estimates
Review drawings, specifications, and project documents
Obtain vendor quotes and compile cost data
Assist with bid proposals, budgets, and pricing
Coordinate with project managers, detailers, and fabrication teams as needed
Qualifications:
Experience estimating structural steel fabrication and/or erection
Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Familiarity with estimating or take-off software is a plus
