Job Description

Job Title: Drywall Framer

Overview:
Our valued client is seeking an experienced Drywall Framer to join their construction team. This individual will be responsible for building, assembling, and installing metal and/or wood framing for drywall installation in commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction practices, safety procedures, and the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and secure wood or metal stud framing for drywall.
  • Install backing, bracing, and blocking as required for fixtures and finishes.
  • Ensure framing is level, plumb, and square before drywall installation.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform quality checks to confirm structural integrity and alignment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Drywall Framer or in a similar carpentry/construction role.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents and drawings.
  • Proficiency in using framing tools, equipment, and measuring devices.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality work.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights as needed.
  • OSHA training or other safety certifications preferred.

Work Environment:
This position requires working in a variety of settings, including new construction, remodels, and commercial job sites. Candidates must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
