Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Position Overview: As an Assistant Project Manager (APM), you will obtain, evaluate, coordinate, and distribute the necessary information and authorizations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all required project documentation is properly filed
• Assist in developing and managing the project budget for assigned projects
• Prepare pre-construction RFP packages
• Help conduct project meetings and establish project processes, such as RFIs, submittals, and pay applications
• Approve pay applications and negotiate subcontract change orders
• Update project schedules, maintain quality control, and manage overall project logistics
• Support the project closeout process
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications:

• A four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business concentrations is highly preferred, but not required
• 1+ years of commercial construction experience, ideally with a commercial general contractor
• Strong passion for the construction industry
