Position Overview:

The Bridge Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing field operations for bridge and heavy highway projects. This role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in bridge construction and DOT specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of bridge construction projects.
• Work closely with project managers to develop construction methods, schedules, and budgets.
• Supervise field crews, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and according to quality and safety standards.
• Maintain daily field logs and ensure accurate reporting of progress and issues.
• Promote and enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations, particularly in crane and bridge construction.
• Communicate with engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve construction challenges.
• Ensure compliance with DOT standards, contract specifications, and project requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in bridge, road, or heavy civil construction.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role such as Superintendent, Foreman, or similar leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and DOT specifications.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proven leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
