A highly respected law firm with a robust construction litigation practice and a significant presence across Florida and the Southeast. The Tampa office is expanding, and they are seeking a Construction Litigation Associate Attorney with proven courtroom and case management experience to join our team. Firm represents general contractors, developers, owners, subcontractors, and design professionals in high-stakes construction disputes across the state.
This is a dynamic role for a litigation-focused associate attorney with 3–6 years of experience in construction or complex commercial litigation. You will be involved in all phases of litigation, from initial investigation and pleadings through trial, arbitration, or settlement. Familiarity with Florida lien law, construction defect claims, and contract disputes is highly desirable.
Handle complex construction litigation cases in state and federal court, including defect claims, delay claims, payment disputes, professional design liability, and surety bonds.
Manage discovery, draft pleadings and dispositive motions, and conduct depositions.
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Work with expert witnesses, forensic consultants, and construction professionals.
Provide strategic legal advice to clients on risk management, contracts, and project disputes.
Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients on litigation strategy and case development.
J.D. from an accredited law school. Admitted and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
3–6 years of litigation experience, with a focus on construction or complex commercial matters.
Experience handling discovery, depositions, motions practice, and trial preparation.
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
