Role Overview: As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing intermodal freight operations. You will leverage your freight brokerage experience to support both inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely deliveries and seamless coordination between transportation modes. This is a hybrid role that will require both remote and in-office work. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in freight brokerage and be able to manage complex logistics tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate freight brokerage and intermodal transport operations from origin to destination.
  • Manage and monitor shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, carriers, and customers to resolve issues and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Handle booking and tracking of shipments across various transport modes (truck, rail, sea).
  • Negotiate with carriers to obtain the best pricing and transit times for shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Provide ongoing support for logistics projects and be ready to jump in on new initiatives quickly.
  • Analyze shipment data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, resolving issues related to shipment status, delays, or discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics coordination, freight brokerage, and intermodal transport.
  • In-depth knowledge of freight brokerage, including carrier relations, rate negotiations, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with intermodal transport operations and multi-modal supply chain management.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tracking systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
