Entry-Level Energy Engineer – Full-Time

Location: Tennessee Industry: Energy / Manufacturing / Utilities / Sustainability Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Energy Engineer to join our engineering team and support energy efficiency, sustainability, and process optimization initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in energy analysis, system optimization, and project implementation for industrial or commercial facilities.

Ideal candidates are early-career engineers with a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, or energy systems engineering and a passion for sustainability and efficiency.

🧰 Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating energy usage across facilities and processes
  • Analyze data from energy systems and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support energy audits, load studies, and benchmarking projects
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and monitoring of energy efficiency projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and management
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation of findings
  • Support compliance with energy regulations, sustainability goals, and environmental standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to energy savings and operational efficiency

📘 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience (internships or co-ops count as relevant experience)
  • Familiarity with energy systems, HVAC, renewable energy, or industrial processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Experience with energy modeling or simulation software (e.g., RETScreen, HOMER, EnergyPlus)
  • Knowledge of LEED, ASHRAE, or other energy standards
  • Internship experience in energy management or sustainability projects
