About the Opportunity
An established, 100% employee-owned engineering and consulting firm with a century-long legacy of community service is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Water/Wastewater.
This position offers the chance to manage impactful public-sector projects that support safe, sustainable, and efficient municipal water and wastewater systems. You’ll lead multidisciplinary project teams, engage directly with clients, and help mentor the next generation of engineers—all within a collaborative, flexible, and employee-owned culture.
This role can be based in any of our 17 Midwest office locations with hybrid work arrangements available.
What You’ll Do
- Manage all phases of water and wastewater projects—from planning and design through construction and operations support.
- Oversee project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and QA/QC processes.
- Lead client engagement with municipalities and public agencies, including council and board presentations.
- Mentor and develop emerging engineering talent.
- Review and guide the preparation of plans, specifications, and bidding documents.
- Support project funding applications with assistance from internal specialists.
- Participate in business development and proposal efforts for new and existing clients.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (required).
- 5+ years of experience managing water and/or wastewater projects.
- Proven client relationship and project management experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).

Compensation & Benefits
💰 Salary Range: $90,000 to $140,000 per year - depending on experience.
