Position Overview

We are seeking a Junior Commercial Lender or Agriculture Lender to join our lending team. This individual will work with local businesses and agricultural clients to support their financial needs and help drive economic growth within our community.

We are open to candidates with lending experience or talented credit analysts ready to step into a lending role. If you have strong credit skills and a passion for relationship-driven banking, we’re willing to train you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in originating and managing commercial and agricultural loan relationships.
  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and cash flows to assess creditworthiness.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, both new and existing.
  • Participate in community events and represent the bank in local initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior lenders, credit, and underwriting teams to support loan structuring and portfolio growth.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, regulatory standards, and credit procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Graduation from an Agricultural Banking School or similar program (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of agriculture and ag-business operations is highly preferred.
  • Previous lending experience (commercial or ag) or strong credit/underwriting background with a desire to move into lending.
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis and credit risk.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A strong commitment to community involvement and local engagement.
