Survey Crew Chief

A trusted leading Civil Engineering and Construction company is seeking a Survey Crew Chief that has solid field experience running a team, advanced technical skills and ability to deal with clients and contracts.  Job responsibilities include managing field operations, using advanced survey equipment, and ensuring accuracy and safety on job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead field crews on boundary, topographic, as-built and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, construction staking, and flood elevation certificates
• Operate and maintain GPS, total stations, and robotic instruments
• Interpret plans and legal descriptions; ensure accurate data collection and documentation
• Coordinate day-to-day operations with office staff
• Oversee and uphold all safety and equipment standards
• Maintain relationships and communication with clients and contractors

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field surveying experience
• Proficient with Trimble, AutoCAD Civil 3D and latest survey tools
• Valid driver’s license
• Dependable, trustworthy and detail-oriented
