Our firm is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Estate Planning and Trusts & Estates Administration practice in St. Louis. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant experience, thrives in a collaborative and client-focused environment, and brings exceptional organizational and communication skills to a fast-paced legal team.
This role is essential to supporting attorneys and clients through all phases of estate planning and estate/trust administration, often during sensitive life moments. We are looking for someone who is dependable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality service.
Draft estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives under attorney supervision.
Prepare and organize document packages for attorney and client review.
Assist with probate and trust administration, including drafting court pleadings, inventories, accountings, deeds, and related filings.
Manage probate court procedures, timelines, and required disclosures.
Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and third parties to gather information and provide case updates.
Support clients with professionalism, empathy, and discretion during sensitive matters.
Maintain well-organized files and detailed records for all estate matters.
Track deadlines for court filings, tax returns, distributions, and other administrative requirements.
Conduct legal research on statutes and procedures related to probate and fiduciary responsibilities.
Accurately record billable time and assist with preparation of client invoices.
Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited program, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of experience in estate planning and/or trusts & estates administration.
Familiarity with Missouri and/or Illinois probate court procedures is strongly preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); experience with estate planning software is a plus.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
High attention to detail and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, staff, and clients.
