About the Role

Our firm is seeking a talented and motivated Associate Attorney with 4–8 years of experience to join our dynamic Litigation Department in St. Louis. The ideal candidate brings strong litigation experience, excellent judgment, and a commitment to providing outstanding client service. This is an opportunity to work with a respected team on complex, diverse matters while taking on meaningful responsibility from day one.


Key Practice Areas

Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

  • Business Litigation

  • Complex Commercial Litigation

  • Real Estate Litigation

  • General Civil Litigation

  • Trusts & Estates Litigation


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all phases of litigation matters, including research, drafting pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.

  • Independently manage multiple cases and deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Provide practical, strategic, and solution-oriented counseling to clients.

  • Analyze complex legal and business issues and develop effective case strategies.

  • Draft high-quality legal documents, including briefs, motions, memoranda, and correspondence.

  • Work collaboratively with partners, associates, paralegals, and staff on litigation matters.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal teams.

  • Maintain high professional standards, sound judgment, and integrity in client representation.


Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with 4–8 years of litigation experience.

  • Strong academic credentials.

  • Experience managing litigation matters independently.

  • Excellent writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Commitment to responsibility, client service, and professional excellence.

  • Active bar license in Missouri (Illinois bar admission is a plus).
