Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our team! Our company serves the industrial and retail market with high-quality, heavy-duty, plastic packaging for demanding applications such as fertilizer, salt, sand, rock and fiberglass insulation markets. We are looking for someone with knowledge of electrical devices and mechanical equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow with a stable, team-oriented company.

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Responsibilities/Requirements:

 1) Knowledge of electrical devices:

  • Temperature controllers

  • Drives and motors including AC, DC, and Servos

  • Programmable controllers, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens

  • Troubleshooting, reading prints and schematics, following input/outputs

  • Simple power distribution equipment and routine electrical maintenance

2) Knowledge of mechanical equipment and devices:

  • Mounting and dismounting simple bearings and bearing products

  • Simple alignment of motor shafts and gearboxes

  • Basic welding and brazing

  • Basic hydraulics and hydraulic principles

  • Minor rigging and lifting

  • Basic pipefitting and plumbing

  • Basic understanding of chillers, compressors, fans, blowers, hoists, and cranes

  • Basic knowledge of common building systems

3) Safety knowledge:

  • Sufficient experience to be deemed Arc Flash trainable

  • Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout procedures

4) Sr. Maintenance responsibilities:

  • Able to perform all tasks with minimal input from manager

  • Routinely trains less experienced maintenance employees

  • Handles multi-faceted tasks including:

    • Concept

    • Design/modification

    • Obtaining/ordering/specifying materials/items

    • Responsible training or documenting implementation

    • Assuming responsibility for PM lists

    • Supervising others on a limited basis

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED

Experience:

  • 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
