Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Fleet Manager to take the lead in managing our growing fleet. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams, including drivers, maintenance, logistics, and customer service, to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet. This position is crucial for ensuring fleet efficiency, safety, and compliance while driving operational excellence across all areas of transportation management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the fleet, ensuring vehicles are maintained, compliant, and optimized for maximum efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with logistics, procurement, customer service, and HR to ensure coordination and alignment across all operational areas.
  • Maintenance & Repairs: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize fleet reliability.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage fleet budget, including fuel, maintenance, repairs, and other operational expenses, ensuring cost-effective fleet management.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including DOT and safety standards.
  • Performance Monitoring: Use data and analytics to track fleet performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize fleet productivity and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team, among all levels.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Generate and review reports on fleet performance, operational costs, and safety metrics to provide actionable insights to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in fleet management or a similar, preferably within the transportation and logistics industry.
  • Strong experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating.
  • In-depth knowledge of fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, compliance, safety regulations, and cost control.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights for improving fleet performance.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software and tools.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business management, or a related field is preferred.
