gpac is partnered with a leading mechanical contractor specializing in design-build HVAC projects across commercial and industrial sectors, including healthcare, education, manufacturing, food processing, and retail. Due to rapid growth, they are expanding their in-house engineering team.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support HVAC system design for new construction, expansions, and renovations. You’ll work alongside project managers, estimators, and CAD techs to develop efficient mechanical systems for hospitals, K-12 schools, universities, retail, and more.

What You’ll Do:
- Design HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment selection
- Perform load calculations and system layouts ensuring code compliance
- Support pre-bid planning, estimating, and field coordination
- Provide technical expertise to teams in both office and field settings
- Mentor junior engineers and CAD personnel
What You Need:
- 10-15 years of HVAC design experience in commercial & industrial projects
- P.E. license preferred but not required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and load calculation tools
- Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and energy efficiency standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, design-build environment
