gpac is working with a client company who is seeking a Maintenance Manager for a privately owned protein manufacturer that’s been in business for over 60 years in the Twin Cities area and is entering a phase of growth, investment, and innovation. This is a high-impact, leadership role where you’ll guide a strong but direction-needing maintenance team and help drive plant reliability, safety, and performance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage a team of technicians – providing structure, accountability, and support
  • Create and execute a preventative maintenance (PM) program
  • Oversee multiple-day shutdowns, equipment repairs, and installations
  • Order parts, manage inventory, and control maintenance spend
  • Set the example for OSHA, food safety, and clean working standards
  • Be on the floor — this is not a behind-the-desk role
  • Work closely with ownership and plant leadership to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure the plant is always left in better shape than it was found

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintain a positive attitude
  • Punctual, dependable and reliable
  • Computer knowledge is preferred

Physical Demands and Abilities:

  • Able to stand and work for extended periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally bend/stoop, kneel, crouch, and squat
  • Can involve heavy lifting, pulling up to 60 lbs.
  • Able to work in a temperature-controlled environment which can range from 0 to 35 F
  • Able to bend and work in awkward positions
