Job Title: Traveling Project Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction
Location: Regional Travel Required (Full-Time Travel)
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a Traveling Project Engineer to join our growing heavy civil construction team. This full-time role requires regular travel within the region, supporting field operations on various active projects. Periodic time-off between assignments will be provided.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on experience in heavy civil construction including roadway, earthwork, underground utilities, and related scopes. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in the field and enjoys seeing complex infrastructure projects come to life.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents on active construction projects

  • Assist with scheduling, documentation, and quality control

  • Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment deliveries

  • Perform on-site quantity tracking and reporting

  • Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and submittals

  • Ensure compliance with project plans, safety protocols, and company standards

  • Collaborate with field teams to identify and resolve issues promptly

  • Participate in site meetings, inspections, and progress tracking


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in heavy civil construction (roadways, utilities, earthwork, etc.)

  • Willingness to travel full-time throughout the region

  • Strong understanding of construction processes and terminology

  • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications

  • Proficient in construction software and MS Office Suite

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (but not required)
