Audit Manager

Location: Gainesville, FL

Overview

A well-established Florida public accounting and consulting firm is seeking an Audit Manager for its accounting and auditing team in Gainesville. Experience in healthcare, government, nonprofit, manufacturing, higher education, construction or real estate is welcome. The role can be performed remotely in Florida for candidates living within two hours of one of the firm’s North/Central Florida offices.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit and attest clients and serve as their primary point of contact
• Ensure compliance with accounting and auditing standards and stay current on industry updates
• Analyze financial performance and trends to improve client service and identify value-added opportunities
• Perform technical quality control review of workpapers
• Schedule, train and delegate to staff while ensuring standards are met
• Monitor performance goals such as chargeable hours, growth and profitability
• Prepare and issue accurate and timely client invoices
• Support recruiting and help develop and deliver continuing education

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's preferred
• 5+ years of audit experience with a public accounting firm
• 3+ years of supervisory experience
• CPA preferred
• CCH ProFx Engagement experience preferred
• Valid driver's license
