About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team supporting a dynamic food manufacturing facility. This hands-on, multi-craft maintenance role is essential to maintaining the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of production, packaging, and utility systems within a 24/7 operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance
Maintain and service pumps, conveyors, boilers, refrigeration, and automated packaging & slicing equipment
Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and control systems
Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings to ensure proper system operation
Support food safety initiatives and maintain sanitary process systems
Collaborate with the maintenance team to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
Work independently with a strong focus on safety and compliance
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of industrial maintenance experience (food or beverage industry preferred)
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Proficient with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging/slicing machinery
Experience with pumps, conveyors, boilers, refrigeration, and instrumentation calibration
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and related documentation
Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and wastewater systems is a plus
Commitment to food safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement
Safety-conscious with the ability to work independently on a 6am–6pm schedule, including weekends as needed
