Job Description

A well-established, family-owned food manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join its production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and keeping operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. 

Position: Maintenance Technician Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00–6:00 PM during the school year, with weekend repair time as needed (average 45–55 hours/week at 1.5x overtime). Summer schedule averages 30–35 hours/week. Pay Range: $25– $35 per hour + overtime

What You’ll Do

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on processing and packaging equipment.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues to minimize downtime.

  • Maintain pumps, conveyors, slicers, boilers, and refrigeration systems.

  • Work with PLCs, VFDs, and automated control systems.

  • Support continuous improvement and food safety initiatives across the facility.

  • Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage manufacturing preferred).

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems.

  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, or wastewater systems a plus.

  • Safety-minded and dependable, with the ability to work independently.

  • Commitment to preventive maintenance and reliability best practices.
