A well-established, family-owned food manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join its production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and keeping operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
Position: Maintenance Technician Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00–6:00 PM during the school year, with weekend repair time as needed (average 45–55 hours/week at 1.5x overtime). Summer schedule averages 30–35 hours/week. Pay Range: $25– $35 per hour + overtime
What You’ll Do
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on processing and packaging equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues to minimize downtime.
Maintain pumps, conveyors, slicers, boilers, and refrigeration systems.
Work with PLCs, VFDs, and automated control systems.
Support continuous improvement and food safety initiatives across the facility.
Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings.
What You Bring
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage manufacturing preferred).
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems.
Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, or wastewater systems a plus.
Safety-minded and dependable, with the ability to work independently.
