Associate Attorney – Land Use | Jacksonville

A respected firm in Jacksonville is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of land use experience to join its growing practice. This role offers the chance to work on a mix of litigation and transactional matters involving zoning, permitting, real estate development, and local government regulation.

What They’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in land use, zoning, or related real estate matters

  • Litigation and transactional background with ability to handle hearings, negotiations, and document drafting

  • Familiarity with local government boards, permitting processes, and development approvals preferred

  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Member of the Florida Bar in good standing

What You’ll Do

  • Represent clients in zoning, land use, and permitting matters before local boards and agencies

  • Handle litigation and appeals related to development disputes and regulatory compliance

  • Draft and negotiate contracts, development agreements, and related real estate documents

  • Advise clients on municipal, state, and local land use regulations

  • Collaborate with developers, municipalities, and stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes
