A well-established law firm in New York City is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle complex civil litigation matters in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage a full caseload of general liability defense matters, including premises liability, property damage, and personal injury claims.
Conduct and defend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
Develop case strategies in coordination with partners and clients.
Attend court appearances and manage cases from inception through resolution or trial.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active admission to the New York State Bar.
Minimum of 3–5 years of insurance defense litigation experience, with a focus on general liability.
Strong litigation, deposition, and motion practice experience required.
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple files independently and communicate effectively with clients.
