Job Description

A respected Tennessee law firm is seeking an Entry-Level Associate Attorney with 1–2 years of experience to join its growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have exposure to workers’ compensation, personal injury, or general litigation and a strong desire to develop courtroom and trial skills in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in handling cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, depositions, and hearings

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda with attention to detail and accuracy

• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies under attorney supervision

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

• Support senior attorneys in hearings, mediations, and trials

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice in Tennessee

• 1–2 years of experience in litigation, workers’ compensation, or personal injury

• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills

• Demonstrated work ethic and commitment to client service

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience taking or defending depositions

• Interest in trial work and professional growth within a litigation-focused practice

• Judicial clerkship or externship experience
