Job Description

We partnered with a firm seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney with at least five years of transactional experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record representing clients in a variety of real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing of commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, development agreements, and related contracts
  • Manage real estate due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning, and environmental matters
  • Advise clients on legal risks and business strategy related to real estate transactions and projects
  • Coordinate and close real estate transactions involving a broad range of asset classes (e.g., office, retail, industrial, multifamily, mixed-use)
  • Collaborate with internal teams, opposing counsel, title companies, and other stakeholders to ensure successful and timely closings

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to the Ohio State bar
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant commercial real estate transactional experience at a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Strong knowledge of commercial real estate law and transaction structuring
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • A proactive and business-minded approach to legal problem-solving
