Job Description

A high level Mechanical Contractor is looking for an experienced commercial project technician that can install and troubleshoot HVAC and related equipment as assigned in a timely, high- quality manner while living out our core values of Treat People Well, Do the Right Thing and Run a Great Company. This person can also conduct their work with highest level of professionalism; build client, co-worker, and outside contact relationship; share their strengths with the team and offer solutions to clients.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Perform installations of HVAC equipment and troubleshoot as needed in a timely and quality manner
  •  Maintain a high level of professionalism by arriving to work on time, maintaining a neat physical appearance and work van in clean working order
  •  Present a professional, positive and helpful attitude at all times when interacting with customers and co-workers
  •  Completes daily reports and start-up forms and updates office project team. No surprises!
  •  Excellent project quality resulting in 0 call-backs due to the installation
  •  Build rapport and positive working relationships with clients, vendors, and other outside contacts
  •  Utilize technology to the fullest extent to enhance performance (email, internet usage, etc)

Desired Requirements:

  •  Two-Year Technical Degree from accredited HVAC institution with 1 to 2 years of experience, HVAC Certificate from accredited HVAC institution with 3 to 4 years of experience, or equivalent work experience
  •  Industry-specific knowledge gained from installing: Package / Split DX units (water & air cooled), Chillers, Pumps, Towers, Boilers, Control Systems, VAV Boxes, etc.
  •  Experience with duct work, piping and electrical required
  •  Organization and time management skills
  •  Problem-solving skills
  •  Good communication skills
  •  Ability to work in a team environment
  •  Ability to pass fit-for-duty evaluations as required for contract requirements
