Job Title: Structural Steel Erection Estimator
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Erection Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record estimating large-scale heavy structural steel erection projects, typically exceeding 10,000 tons. Projects include convention centers, airports, large manufacturing facilities, and other major commercial structures.
Review project plans and specifications to develop detailed, accurate cost estimates for steel erection
Perform quantity take-offs and analyze labor, equipment, and material costs
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to clarify project scope and gather pricing data
Prepare competitive bids and proposals on large structural steel erection projects
Maintain and update historical cost data and pricing databases
Identify potential risks or challenges and propose solutions to ensure competitive and accurate estimates
Minimum 3-5 years estimating experience in structural steel erection on projects exceeding 10,000 tons
Experience with large commercial and industrial projects such as convention centers, airports, or manufacturing facilities
Strong knowledge of steel erection methods, safety standards, and industry best practices
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
