Job Description

I am looking for a Commercial Credit Analyst  to join the team of a growing community bank in Central Ohio.

Must have:

2+ years of expereince

BA Degree or relevant experience 

C&I/CRE

Understand and promote the bank’s credit culture and credit policies

 

 

Responsibilities include:

Financial Statement AnalysisEvaluate the financial statements of potential borrowers, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other relevant financial data. Assess the borrower's financial performance, stability, and capacity to repay the loan.

Credit Risk Management: Developing and implementing credit risk policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the bank's lending activities are conducted in a prudent and controlled manner.

Credit Analysis and Approval: Overseeing the credit analysis process to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers and determine the terms and conditions of loan approvals.

Portfolio Management: Monitoring the bank's credit portfolio to identify and address potential risks and ensuring that credit exposures are diversified and balanced.

Risk Assessment: Evaluating the credit risk associated with various types of loans and other credit-related transactions, such as trade finance, letters of credit, and guarantees.

Credit Underwriting: Reviewing and approving credit decisions made by the lending team to ensure they align with the bank's risk appetite and credit standards.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that the bank's credit operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Credit Monitoring and Reporting: Implementing credit monitoring mechanisms to track the performance of loans and providing regular reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Loss Mitigation: Developing strategies to minimize credit losses and overseeing the management of non-performing loans.

Credit Policy Review: Periodically reviewing and updating the bank's credit policies in response to changing market conditions and risk factors.

Team Management: Leading and managing the credit department, providing guidance to team members, and fostering a strong credit culture within the organization.
