Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. As a Family Law Attorney, you will provide legal services to clients in matters related to family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, prenuptial agreements, adoption, and domestic violence. The ideal candidate will have excellent legal expertise, strong communication skills, and a compassionate approach to client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in family law matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, domestic violence, and adoption cases.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including petitions, motions, settlement agreements, and parenting plans.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediation sessions, and trials.
  • Assist clients in navigating emotionally sensitive family issues while providing strong legal support and advocacy.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to provide effective legal solutions to clients.
  • Prepare and file legal pleadings and other documents with the court.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, explain legal procedures, and answer questions.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as financial experts, mediators, and social workers, to offer a comprehensive approach to resolving family issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost professionalism and integrity.
  • Stay current with developments in family law and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to Wisconsin and in good standing.
  • 2-5 years of experience practicing family law, including experience in divorce, child custody, and other family-related legal matters.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and able to handle sensitive issues with professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-net-worth divorces or complex family law matters.
  • Certification or specialization in family law (optional).
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
