Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman Responsibilities:

  • As a Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanics and technicians to ensure that our Excavating equipment is maintained and repaired in a safe and efficient manner(Scrapers, Skid Steers, Loaders, Backhoe, Bulldozers, Trenchers, Excavators, Diesel Trucks)
  • Shop Operations & Management:
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Monitor and maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations
  • Oversee daily maintenance and repair activities for company equipment
  • Personnel Management:
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate mechanics, technicians, and support staff to ensure they possess the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively
  • Schedule work shifts and assignments to meet business needs
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching for skill development
  • Fleet Maintenance & Compliance:
  • Oversight of inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of equipment ensures that all vehicles are road-ready and compliant with regulations
  • Maintain accurate service records and schedules for all fleet vehicles( Scrapers, Skid Steers, Loaders, Backhoe, Bulldozers, Trenchers, Excavators, Diesel Trucks) 

Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman Job description

Responsible for leading a team of mechanics and technicians to ensure that our fleet of equipment is maintained and repaired in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shop Operations & Management:

  •  Salary of $98 -105K, including benefits.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years experience of repair and maintenance of grader, dozer, skid steers, excavators and tools including their uses, repair and maintenance, and practical applications. Must have Fusing excavation heavy equipment repair, fusion techniques for welding and joining materials like metal and HDPE plastic.
  • Ability to operate all construction heavy power equipment. Must be responsible for a team of mechanics.
  • Works well in group problem-solving situations. responsible for repairs and maintenance on large construction equipment. Mentors, trains and works well with teams of mechanics.
