We’re looking for a hands-on Operations Supervisor to oversee daily waste collection services across residential, commercial, roll-off, and industrial lines of business. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for leading frontline staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering safe, efficient, and reliable service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
The Operations Supervisor will supervise and support drivers, route supervisors, and frontline staff
Promote a strong safety culture with accountability at all levels
Provide training, coaching, and regular performance feedback
Operational Excellence
Oversee daily collection routes and service delivery
Ensure timely, cost-effective operations while meeting customer expectations
Monitor vehicle/equipment usage and site conditions
Performance & Efficiency
Track KPIs, budgets, and operational performance metrics
Implement route optimization strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Support business growth through scalable operations and new contracts
Customer & Community Relations
Partner with customer service and sales teams to resolve issues
Build positive relationships with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders
Represent the company at public meetings and client discussions
What We’re Looking For In A Operations Supervisor
3–5+ years of leadership experience in waste management, transportation, logistics, or related field
Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations
Strong background in managing frontline teams in a service-driven environment
Proficiency with route optimization software and MS Office Suite
