Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development: Drive revenue by proactively reaching out to farmers, agronomists, and agricultural cooperatives to introduce and sell cover crop solutions.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, providing personalized recommendations for cover crop selection and best practices.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for cover crop recommendations, offering advice on soil health, fertility, and erosion control.
  • Consultative Selling: Tailor solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring that each sale aligns with farm sustainability goals and environmental best practices.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed on the latest trends in agriculture, cover crops, and soil science, providing customers with cutting-edge solutions and technical support.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to support product promotions, campaign development, and customer acquisition strategies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in Agricultural Sales: At least 2-3 years of experience in agricultural sales, with a focus on cover crops, seed products, or sustainable farming practices.
  • Deep Understanding of Agronomy: Solid knowledge of soil health, crop rotation, cover crop benefits, and sustainable farming techniques.
  • Proven Sales Track Record: Strong ability to build relationships, identify sales opportunities, and close deals.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Capable of engaging with farmers and stakeholders of all levels, delivering clear and effective presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Self-Motivated & Results-Driven: Ability to work independently, manage your own territory, and achieve sales targets.
  • Education: A degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel locally and regionally to meet with customers and attend industry events.

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive Compensation: A competitive base salary with a commission structure, designed to reward high performers.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Health, dental, vision insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
  • Professional Development: Opportunities for continued education, growth, and career advancement in a rapidly evolving industry.
  • Impactful Work: Be part of a team that helps farmers implement sustainable practices for long-term environmental and economic benefits.
