Job Summary: Component Design Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing daily operations of the design department and maintain consistent quality design work within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Team Leadership & Engagement
  • Assigning Estimating Work
  • Assigning Design Work
  • Interface with Production Team
  • Implementing & Auditing Standardized Business Practices
  • Designer Recruiting, Hiring, and Onboarding
  • Designer Discipline and Terminations
  • Designer Productivity
  • Designer Quality Control
  • Customer Service and Standards
  • Communicate Design Issues and Concerns with General Manager and Corporate Design Manager
  • Communicate Design Ideas and Best Practices with General Manager & Corporate Design Manger
  • Work alongside salesperson, customer, and subcontractor to ensure all schedules are met.
  • Expedite and resolve issues as they arise
  • Occasional Travel
  • Other duties as assigned

 Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

  • 4 years of industry and component design experience.
  • Proficient in industry and supplier software applications.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or Associate’s Degree required
  • Rough Carpentry, Project Supervision and or Project Manager experience will be considered.
  • Blueprint reading and estimating.
  • CAD and BIM experience is preferred.
