Physician Assistant (PA) – Northern Minnesota
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team in beautiful Northern Minnesota. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a scenic, outdoor-oriented community while enjoying a supportive and collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, perform procedures, and promote overall wellness for patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Prescribe medications as authorized by state regulations.
- Perform minor procedures and assist with surgeries as needed.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, wellness, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Adhere to federal, state, and facility regulations, policies, and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in Minnesota (or ability to obtain).
- Graduation from an accredited PA program.
- Certification by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
- Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic, and procedural skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in family practice, primary care, or specialty areas preferred.
