Tax Senior Manager

Location: Long Beach, CA (any California office)

Overview

A large regional CPA and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager in Long Beach (other California offices also possible). In-office or hybrid. You will prepare, review and sign tax returns, manage client relationships and mentor the tax team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and sign individual, business and other tax returns across entity types and industries
• Work with the tax team on tax planning, client interaction and special tax projects
• Look at tax situations from various angles to ensure maximum tax benefit
• Develop solutions and communicate them to the engagement team and clients
• Manage client relationships and client billing
• Provide mentoring and technical training for tax staff
• Attend training seminars, professional development and networking events

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Valid CPA license
• 7+ years of tax experience in public accounting
• Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
