Job Title: Civil Estimator / Project Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Civil Estimator/Project Manager with experience estimating and managing projects involving excavation, underground utilities, and grading. The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential subdivisions and commercial site development and can oversee projects from bid through closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed estimates for civil construction projects including earthwork, utilities, and site development.
Review project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to develop accurate scopes and quantities.
Solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing; evaluate proposals and prepare competitive bids.
Manage awarded projects, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and cost tracking.
Oversee field operations to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to plans.
Maintain communication with owners, inspectors, engineers, and internal teams.
Handle project documentation, RFIs, change orders, and progress reporting.
Qualifications:
Experience estimating and managing excavation, utilities, and grading work.
Background in residential subdivision development and commercial site development.
Strong understanding of civil construction methods, production rates, and site logistics.
Proficiency in estimating software, plan reading, and project scheduling.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
