Tax Senior – Albuquerque, NM | GPAC
GPAC is partnering with a distinguished public accounting firm in Albuquerque, NM, to identify a dedicated and skilled Tax Senior to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who demonstrate excellence in client service, strong decision-making abilities, and the capability to foster a positive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage tax compliance and consulting projects for a diverse portfolio of clients.
Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns, including Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040, 990, and Texas Franchise Reports.
Provide expert guidance on federal, state, and local tax matters.
Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to deliver strategic tax planning solutions.
Assist in the development and training of junior staff members.
Candidate Requirements:
3 to 7 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting within public accounting.
Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Excellent client service skills with a professional and approachable demeanor.
Demonstrated decision-making ability and leadership in a team setting.
Ability to foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Stability and commitment to long-term career growth.
CPA certification preferred or in progress.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and tax preparation software.
Ability to oversee monthly financial reporting, including bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance in QuickBooks.
