Personal Injury Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex litigation and personal injury cases, with a strong focus on automobile accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, product liability, and toxic exposure claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent plaintiffs in a variety of personal injury and complex litigation matters, including automobile accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, product liability, and toxic exposure claims.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare discovery requests/responses.
- Draft and negotiate demand letters, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Take and defend depositions, as well as prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
- Develop and execute trial strategies to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
- Manage caseloads efficiently while ensuring deadlines and client goals are met.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, consultants, and expert witnesses to strengthen case arguments.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Stay informed about evolving legal statutes and precedents affecting personal injury litigation.
- Engage in informal resolution tactics when appropriate to secure favorable client outcomes.
- Attend client meetings, firm events, and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
- 2-10+ years of experience practicing law, preferably in personal injury or complex litigation.
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and trial preparation skills.
- Direct trial experience a plus!
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and work both independently and collaboratively.
