A growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a full-time Airport Engineer / Project Engineer to support airport planning, design, construction, and civil engineering projects. This position offers opportunities to develop technical and leadership skills and advance toward Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze project data and perform engineering calculations.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, reports, and project documents.
- Perform airport and civil engineering design tasks.
- Support permit applications, material testing, surveying, CADD work, and airspace studies.
- Observe construction activities and prepare field reports.
- Research project requirements, standards, and regulations.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage multiple assignments while maintaining quality and schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 1–5 years of airport planning, design, or civil engineering experience.
- P.E. license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
- Consulting experience with FAA and/or DOT projects is a plus.
- Experience in the Central Region is preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- ArcGIS experience preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
