Job Description

A growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a full-time Airport Engineer / Project Engineer to support airport planning, design, construction, and civil engineering projects. This position offers opportunities to develop technical and leadership skills and advance toward Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze project data and perform engineering calculations.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, reports, and project documents.
  • Perform airport and civil engineering design tasks.
  • Support permit applications, material testing, surveying, CADD work, and airspace studies.
  • Observe construction activities and prepare field reports.
  • Research project requirements, standards, and regulations.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage multiple assignments while maintaining quality and schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 1–5 years of airport planning, design, or civil engineering experience.
  • P.E. license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Consulting experience with FAA and/or DOT projects is a plus.
  • Experience in the Central Region is preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • ArcGIS experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
