Job Title: Operations Manager (Quarry/Crushing)

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager for our Quarry/Crushing division. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, leading a workforce, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient production of materials. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in the mining industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial position. The position will ultimately oversee day-to-day activities of our 500k tons/year quarry, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the quarry, producing 500k tons/year of aggregate materials.

  • Supervise a workforce of 10-15 employees, including hiring, training, and development.

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all crushing equipment and machinery.

  • Coordinate with the service shop to maintain rolling stock, including loaders, excavators, haul trucks, etc.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including MSHA, Wyo DEQ, and local, state, and federal laws.

  • Prioritize and maintain overall site safety and enforce safe working practices.

  • Oversee drilling patterns and coordinate with blasting subcontractors.

  • Meet production goals while ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.

  • Assist in the development of the mine site and manage capital expenditures.

  • Maintain records of operations, production, and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in aggregate or rock mining, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong knowledge of mining and crushing operations, including mine layout, dewatering, excavation, crushing, washing equipment, and site reclamation.

  • Experience managing and leading teams in a quarry or similar environment.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, including MSHA, Wyo DEQ, and other relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
