Job Description

We are seeking a Plant Manager for a food manufacturing facility in Wisconsin south of Madison! This company has been in business for 40 years and are growing significantly.  This position is ideal for someone who prefers to manage from the floor, not an office, and enjoys mentoring personnel. The plant is growing significantly in the near future, and the right person for this position would enjoy facilitating the growth process, with room for advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full scope of plant operations: production, maintenance, quality, sanitation, logistics, and budget
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Lead capital projects and implement process improvements
  • Analyze performance metrics to optimize output and reduce costs
  • Partner with senior leadership on long-term strategic planning
  • Champion employee development, morale, and operational excellence

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in plant leadership within the dairy or food manufacturing industry; smoked or dairy preferred
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment
  • Strong skills in communication, performance management, and team development
  • Experience with plant engineering, maintenance, and lean manufacturing preferred

Hands-on leadership style with a mentoring mindset and strong interpersonal skills; on the floor approach
