Estimator – Top Local Home Builder

We are a leading, locally rooted home builder known for delivering high-quality residential communities and exceptional customer experiences. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team and support the planning, budgeting, and execution of upcoming projects. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to a reputable, high-performing construction team.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive estimates for residential, commercial, and site development projects over $7M
  • Manage multiple concurrent bids and ensure timely, complete submissions
  • Perform conceptual estimating, quantity takeoffs, and detailed CSI-division breakdowns (Divisions 03–12)
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and addendums; identify scope gaps, risks, and discrepancies
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and trade partners to gather information and clarify scope
  • Lead value engineering efforts and propose cost-saving opportunities
  • Analyze market pricing, material availability, labor trends, and construction methods
  • Support internal budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling processes
  • Maintain organized documentation and ensure estimating processes are consistent and accurate

 

Education

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
    OR equivalent professional estimating experience

Experience

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience on residential, commercial, or site development projects over $7M
  • Proven ability to manage multiple bids, perform conceptual estimates, and review construction documents
