Job Title: Outside Sales Rep – Lumber & Building Materials
Our client is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Rep to service the Marathon to Key West territory. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company with a strong reputation in the Lumber and Building Materials industry.
The ideal candidate will have a background in LBM sales, be familiar with the Florida Keys market, and thrive in a relationship-based selling environment. You’ll manage existing accounts, grow new business, and offer full solutions across lumber, block, metal, cabinetry, and window products.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow a defined territory from Marathon to Key West
Develop customer relationships with contractors, builders, and developers
Provide product recommendations and material quotes
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and project success
Track market trends, pricing, and competitor activity
Meet and exceed sales goals through strategic account management
Qualifications:
3+ years of outside sales experience in the building materials industry
Strong understanding of lumber, block, and related construction products
Proven success in territory or relationship-based sales
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Valid driver’s license required
Compensation & Perks:
Base salary of $65K + commission (5% gross profit margin)
