Director of Field Services

Ensuring excellence in customer satisfaction, service efficiency, and technical performance. This senior leadership role will oversee a team of field service engineers, driving continuous improvement and aligning services with company goals in clinical, CRO, and pharmaceutical laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of field service engineers.
  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of LCMS and IA instruments to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing service needs and driving retention.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to provide technical expertise for new client engagements.
  • Manage training programs to ensure technical proficiency among service personnel.
  • Track service performance metrics and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee budget, resource allocation, and department P&L to optimize operations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive advancements.
  • Travel as needed to support service operations and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in laboratory instrumentation maintenance, including LCMS and chemistry analyzers.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a commitment to service excellence.
